Who, what, why and when.
The Review began as a business in 1991 though the concept had been used by the founder, Gareth Robertson, for some time before that.
A need for analysts to generate sales leads out of the weekend press was the genesis of the Review being produced, though its use in communications, business development and as an information tool amongst city professionals and executive boards developed quickly.
The Review, which has recently celebrated its 900th issue, used to be printed on a Sunday evening and delivered by hand around the city institutions so as to be ready for traders when they arrived on a Monday morning. Many of those first subscribers are still clients today.
The Review is believed to be the first UK business news service online and has a unique and unrivalled Archive of articles dating back to 1995.
All of us at the Weekend City Press Review are committed to ensuring that our subscribers receive the best service we can deliver. If you aren’t a subscriber yet, please let us show you how you too can benefit and if you are, I trust you will continue to have your time multiplied and your appreciation of the service we offer you enhanced.
I am committed to giving back to the community we live and work in and for 2009/10 we are donating 10% of all our profits to the Lord Mayor's Appeal 2009.
